yes folks, its here and its a beauty. WOW,wow,wow...oh my goodness. Straight out of the box and its working like a dream.Our CP.2's were away today so I threw on our Nikon Cine primes(yes we have a F3 Nikon mount)and liked what I saw. Will get out and test it this week..bookings are coming in for it so be in quick if you want to have the new game changer on your next shoot.
Here it is with Nikon Cine primes, Redrock/Arri 4 stage prod matte box and Cineroid EVF viewfinder. Mmm, very nice.

Our HD-DSLR rigs just keep on evolving .....this is our latest set up. Full Prod mode. Focus Pullers delight...the operator has a true EVF ( viewfinder) and the focus puller can monitor on the DP-6, AND your client/director can also watch on another monitor via the built in/ on board HDMI-> SDI convertor. Soooo everyone gets to watch. :-) Cool eh!

and check out our Redrock/Arri production matte box...Arri bellows/114mm donut and + 3 stage 4x5.65 filter trays. Add to it our 5.65x5.65 tray, our Schneider ND grads, Tiffen ND's and Schneider Tru-pol 138m round polarizer. Giving you 4 x filter stages.
The Arri donut fits snugly and perfectly onto our Zeiss Compact Primes. If you haven't experienced the CP.2's on a 7D or 5D you have not experienced the best images you can get from these cameras.

HDSLR "The Production Rig"

A quick iPhone shot of our full production rig with the Zeiss Compact Primes. Includes Arri FF, V-lock powering for the camera and all accessories and a HDMI to HD-SDI converter - no more dealing with unpracticle unreliable HDMI cables and monitors. The whole rig snaps on a tripod with no adjustment needed and the basic camera/lens/Z-finder unit can be easily removed for light weight use. Will post better photos when it's back in the office long enough to do so!

HD-DSLR rig is now available along with 7d/5d which can be coupled with our Nikkor Cine Primes...one of the new rigs first jobs was a Vodafone Qatar tvc shot in july.. you can configure it to full production mode with Arri FF-1 follow focus and Swing away prod' matte box..plus add on a 7" lcd monitor mounted on the rig....amazingly the 53 degree heat(that was the temp' in the shade for 2 days) did not cause any problems with camera overheating and the G-monster 533x Plus Cf cards used were rock solid...

Base Plates and Shoulder Mounts

Back in the day when we all shot with real cameras we took these things for granted but now with the onset of the smaller HD cameras like the Sony EX's this area is either lacking or not there at all. Luckily this problem is easily fixable with some fine 3rd party products.

All our rental cameras have retrofitted base plates and the option of good workable shoulder mounts, you can even run your camera and accessories off a standard v-lock battery for extra run time and onboard powering options. We also sell these so you can retrofit your own camera, either way we will sort the best solution for you.

Cameraworks At Work

We managed to rig our EX3 + Letus Elite + Nano HD-sdi recorder onto our Glidecam X-10 rig for a client recently..results were fantastic...super smooth tracking shots at 100mbps ....nice.

Here are some pictures of recent jobs the gear has been on...the EX3 + flash XDR has been a very successful Green Screen camera package on a couple of recent commericla shoots. 180mbps , I-frame giving really nice keys and the Flash XDR teamed up with the Viper again recently on a tvc shoot...images were great with 11 stop latitude.......lots of stuff happening..we'll keep you up to date...
