Back in the day when we all shot with real cameras we took these things for granted but now with the onset of the smaller HD cameras like the Sony EX's this area is either lacking or not there at all. Luckily this problem is easily fixable with some fine 3rd party products.
All our rental cameras have retrofitted base plates and the option of good workable shoulder mounts, you can even run your camera and accessories off a standard v-lock battery for extra run time and onboard powering options.
